Education

We are excited to share with you the project: Promoting Girl-Child Education in the Masimera Chiefdom.

Our goal is to address the high illiteracy rate among girls in our community and empower them through education.

In this project, we aim to increase enrollment and retention of girls in schools, ultimately reducing the gender disparity in education. We believe that every girl deserves access to quality education and the opportunity to reach her full potential.

Our proposal outlines the objectives, target beneficiaries, and activities of the project. We have carefully planned various initiatives such as providing admission fees and other school charges, uniforms, shoes, backpacks, and nutritious meals for the girls. We also plan to organize workshops and training sessions for key stakeholders, including teachers, counselors, and community members.

To ensure the success of our project, we have considered factors such as community participation, knowledge management, gender mainstreaming, and effective communication of results. We believe that involving the community and promoting gender equality are crucial for sustainable change.

We have also prepared a detailed budget matrix that outlines the costs of each activity and item. The total budget for the project is $1,845,228, which covers the full implementation of activities over a period of six years. Please note that the budget has been calculated based on the current prices of items, taking into account the increasing cost of living in Sierra Leone.

We are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of girls in the Masimera Chiefdom. With your support and partnership, we can create a brighter future for these girls and empower them to become leaders and change-makers in their communities.

Together, let’s make a difference in the lives of girls and promote education for all. For more information, you can read the project proposal document here:
