Our History

Masimera Chiefdom, located in the Port Loko District of Sierra Leone’s Northern Province, has a rich history deeply rooted in the traditional governance structures of the region. The chiefdom is administratively significant, with its capital located in the town of Masimera. Historically, the chiefdom has been an essential part of the local governance system, with local leaders playing critical roles in the administration and cultural preservation of their communities.
